We are joining the blog trend of Monday posts about what we have read during the last week (7/15/19-7/21/19).
Annamarie’s Reading
Annamarie’s top titles include:
- Does It Fart? A Kid’s Guide to the Gas Animals Pass by Nick Caruso and Dani Rabaiotti
- Goodbye, Friend! Hello, Friend! by Cori Doerrfeld
- Mommy Sayang by Rosana Sullivan
- The Pigeon Has to Go to School by Mo Willems
- Unicorn Is Maybe Not So Great After All by Bob Shea
- What Does an Anteater Eat? by Ross Collins
Note: Annamarie serves as chair of the ALSC Notable Children’s Recordings Committee. Due to her position, she listens to and evaluates many audiobooks for children and teens. Annamarie never includes any of the audiobooks she listens to in her “What Are You Reading?” posts.
Michala’s Reading
Michala’s top titles include:
- The Rise of Kyoshi by F.C. Yee with Avatar Co-Creater Michael Dante DiMartino
- Be More Chill by Ned Vizzini
- Again, But Better by Christine Riccio
- Wilder Girls by Rory Power
Note: Happy YA week on Goodreads! This Week, Michala is running away from the library for a few days. With any luck she should return to finish out Summer Reading with tons of restorative energy!
I simply HAVE to add Does It Fart?: A Kid’s Guide to the Gas Animals Pass to my list. My kids will love this! lol I also have Wilder Girls on my list and am hearing really great things about it. Thanks for all these shares, Annamarie & Michala! #superlatecomment
Does It Fart? seems like a perfect title to booktalk to second and third graders. It reminded me of What Do They Do with All That Poo? by Jane Kurtz, a definite winner at our library. Thanks for reaching out!
